SAMPLE DAILY HOROSCOPES FOR ARIES
WEEK OF AUGUST 9, 2009
Your Calendar for Achievement*
Sunday, August 9: Mercury and Venus are in good alignment today. The moon’s in Pisces, which doesn’t go well with Mars in Gemini. Mercury and Venus soothe the emotions; Mars and the Moon stir them up. Mercury and Venus are good for coming up with money-making ideas. The Moon/Mars clashing signs indicate that emotionally you need to rest, but your daily activities require a lot of energy or exertion, or that people in your environment get on your nerves and seem hurtful. Take it easy when you get a chance to.
Monday, August 10: Mercury and Venus are still in good alignment. The moon’s in your sign, so you should have more emotional energy at your disposal. Think of ways to save money on a daily basis, such as by cooking meals ahead at home so you can bring your lunch to work. Mars square Saturn indicates a need to slow down.
Tuesday, August 11: Mars and Saturn are still close to a square aspect. Not a time for impulsive action. Work or health concerns could eat into your energy. Pace yourself and be realistic in your ambitions for the day.
Wednesday, August 12: A calm day astrologically. Good for spending time on your Uranus goals and your Neptune goals (see below). Catch up on your rest if you need to.
Thursday, August 13: Mars trines Jupiter, and taking action becomes easier. Good day for pursuing both short-term goals (e.g., sun goals) or long-term goals (e.g., Saturn goals). See below for goal suggestions.
Friday, August 14: Mars is still within aspect to Jupiter, and the sun opposes Jupiter. Your short-term actions now can support your long-term goals. The Jupiter/sun aspect tries to expand your personality and make you more outgoing.
Saturday, August 15: Jupiter’s expansionary influence is still in play. The lure of friendship, socializing, or community activities may outweigh the awareness that spending time with lovers and/or children is important. Maybe you can do both.
Aries Goals for the Week
Short-term goals (inner planets). Pick one or more or choose your own.
Special note for those on the Pisces/Aries cusp: Pluto is at zero degrees Capricorn right now. If this is a stressful time for you, it will tell you that your sun is most likely at zero degrees Aries. If so, Pluto is in a difficult square aspect to your sun. Pluto goes direct in mid-September and leaves the zero degree mark in mid-October. By then, you should feel noticeable relief. In the meantime, you may not have much energy for dealing with anything but Pluto issues.

*HOW TO USE THE CALENDAR FOR ACHIEVEMENT
The long-term astrological goals are the most important. These represent the issues that you must resolve and pay attention to if you are to live the life you have imagined, if you are to achieve your dreams. These long-term indicators (the outer planets) indicate how your life purpose is playing out right now, with all the challenges and rewards that entails.
Check in with your long-term goals every week. Some weeks you will not do anything on some long-term goals, but the weekly reminder will help you identify opportunities when they arise as well as help you clarify what you want.
If the suggested goals above do not resonate or if you want more information, you can visit my Practical Astrology site for keywords and articles on the planets, signs, and houses.
Pick only goals that resonate. You do not need to set weekly goals for all the planets, but there is no harm in setting goals each week, even if you do not achieve them all. You will achieve more than you realize, and you will gain insight into the rhythms of your life. Try to give yourself credit each week for what you did accomplish. A five minute or 10 minute weekly review will help you see how you are growing and making progress.
Inner planet goals help you take advantage of short-term trends. They can remind you to take breaks, schedule in fun time, enjoy simple pleasures, and get in harmony with the seasons. Short-term trends by definition don’t last very long, so you’ll need to jump on them to take advantage of the energy. It is not necessary to complete everything within the time frame indicated by the aspect, but it is important to get started.
Finally, read the entire week’s brief daily descriptions at the beginning of the week. Some people feel aspects a few days ahead of or after the time of exactness. Adjust your schedule accordingly. Feel free to use the energies when they actually arise, even if it is not exactly at the time indicated in the daily descriptions.
