Uranus is in your solar 6th house these days. The 6th house relates to things like health maintenance and daily chores. When Uranus in your solar 6th house is in a bad mood, you might be too tired to pick your dirty clothes off the floor, or the laundry room is always taken or your washer and dryer break. Little chores can become big hassles. That’s why you are very glad that Uranus and Pluto are backing off from outright confrontation during June.

Your solar 6th house also relates to your work environment and your job. So things should be improving in those areas during June as well. Pluto, meanwhile, has been in the part of your chart that affects things like your car and basic transportation. So if you’ve been having car troubles, those should also ease. Strangely enough, the third house of transportation is also the house of things like lessons, short classes, and mastery of technique. If you’ve been frustrated by an inability to learn something or if you need a mental breakthrough, you may get it in June.

Neptune is also especially strong in June because he stations and then goes retrograde. Neptune is in your solar house of happiness and fun and love and children. Think happy thoughts this month. It’s worth the effort even if you’ve been a bit gloomy because Neptune is in a good mood with Saturn in your own sign. Thinking happy can do more than just make you feel better, it can lead to satisfying insights about your life.

Mercury in Cancer also goes retrograde this month. The combination of Mercury retrograde and a strong Neptune can make it difficult to nail down specifics, make decisions, keep appointments, or make wise purchasing decisions. You can either try very hard to make sure you are very precise and detailed this month or you can go with the flow and let things stay sort of up in the air for awhile. Almost half the information you need to nail things down probably isn’t visible right now anyway, so you may be better off going with the flow.

Finally, the end of June sees the beginning of a year-long emphasis on your solar house of long-distance travel. Once Jupiter moves into Cancer on the 25th, you’ll have the foreign travel planet in your foreign travel sector. You may not be planning any overseas trips right this minute, but getting out of the country will be on your chart’s mind soon and for awhile to come.

Here’s the astrology. Uranus in Aries is clashing with Pluto in Capricorn during the second half of this month and the first half of next month. There’s a new moon eclipse in Taurus on the 9th and a full moon eclipse in Sagittarius on the 25th. Lots of energy in Gemini is colluding with Uranus in Aries, and Saturn in your own sign is colluding with Pluto in Capricorn.

Uranus is in your work sector and rules your home life. Pluto is in your communication sector and rules your sign. It’s a real mixed bag of influences zinging around and bumping into each other. It’ll be enough to make susceptible people want to pack their bags and head for the Himalayas for awhile.

So let’s look at the good. The solar eclipse in Taurus on the 9th could bring a new and lovely relationship into your life. This may come as a startling surprise, and who doesn’t love a nice surprise?

Some elements of your finances could also be startlingly good thanks to the abundance of energy in Gemini. But your regular income could see a setback thanks to the lunar eclipse in Sagittarius. Most of you will be better off, for the time being, with non-ordinary, non-recurring income. Your own chart could be different but a lot of Scorpios will be able to be more aggressive in securing extra or outside income in June, which could offset disappointing results in regular salary or wage type income.

Just so you know, outside income has been favored by Jupiter in Gemini and it continues that way through May. In late June, Jupiter will leave Gemini for Cancer and by mid-July that will no longer be a focus in your chart.

The most influential element in your chart, of course, is Saturn in your own sign. Saturn is the one making you aware of the pervasive nature of society’s rules. You may or may not like that, but it would be greatly to your benefit to figure out how to adjust.

Meanwhile, Uranus in Aries in your job sector is hurling himself with all the force he can muster against Pluto in Capricorn. This is probably not such a good thing. Whatever battle he is fighting at work is not likely to be one he can win. It might be good to keep that in mind.

I understand that Uranus will have allies this month, which will probably show up in your life in the form of other people or a group of people. And the lovely relationship vibes in your chart from the eclipse and Neptune in Pisces may make you happily over-optimistic about your potential power in numbers. But your true power this month really lies in your ability to escape and enjoy life, not to battle it.

So here’s another potential motto for the month: When the going gets tough, the tough sometimes stay home and watch mindless TV while the other suckers knock themselves out fighting the inevitable. See if that one works for you.

Your chart is all in when it comes to the quest for such a relationship or to extract maximum pleasure from the one you already have. Your sign is also the sign of other people’s money, so sometimes when there’s a lot of energy in this part of your chart, it represents the quest to extract maximum money or resources from the relationship.

April is also job search month in the Scorpio chart. There’s job search energy all month long, but the peak occurs right around the time of the new moon in Aries on the 10th. If you are seeking a new job, now is the time to pursue it with all your Scorpio heart. If it’s money or benefits you are concerned about, go full throttle at the beginning of the month, when the vibes are strongest in your favor.

There is also an important lunar eclipse in your sign on April 25th. You already have Saturn in your sign, so there is a lot of astrological might directed toward Scorpio these days. You may feel the effects of this eclipse any time from about 5 weeks before the date to about 5 weeks after. If you feel it, it is likely to be quite powerful. The purpose of a lunar eclipse is to wrestle something away from you that you’ve been holding on to for far too long, at too high a cost.

A strong lunar eclipse manifestation indicates that either you didn’t realize that what you were holding onto was detrimental or that you did but were afraid to let go of it. At lunar eclipse time, the universe forces the issue, liberates you from something you weren’t sure you wanted to be liberated from, and then lets you spend about half a year or so adjusting to the new reality.

Mars is a bothersome sort of planet a fair amount of the time. If food is a source of pleasure, for example, then he encourages over-eating. If you like the occasional alcoholic beverage, then Mars in Pisces will want to push you toward weepy drunkenness or even the kind of night that inspired the ‘Hangover’ movies. If you like to spend money for pleasure, then Mars in Pisces will want to buy everything in sight. At the root of Mars in Pisces’s urges is the sense he has that he simply cannot stand emotional discomfort.

So Mars in Pisces wants to overdo it when it comes to anything that gives you emotional reassurance or security. And them on the 11th, Mars moves into Aries and his mood suddenly changes. He’s more upbeat, physical, outgoing, aggressive.

As spring begins, Mars will meet up with Uranus, who is already in Aries. Uranus represents humanity, groups, social movements.

So, at the start of spring your solar chart bursts with energy; it wants to get moving and interact with new people and things. If things are going reasonably well, it will start getting ideas like ‘let’s take a dance class!’ ‘Let’s meet people!’ ‘Let’s charge ahead at the job (or with getting a new job)!’ This makes the end of the month a good time to consider both your needs and how you can meet them.

Finally, Saturn in your sign is moving in close harmony with Pluto and Capricorn. The implication of this is that it is time for turnover in terms of who is in your daily life. Move out the deadwood and bring in the fresh new faces.

That’s not unusual this time of year and it’s not a big break from last month’s vibes. The next item on the Scorpio agenda isn’t too radical either. Beauty, pleasure, romance, art–Pisces stuff. Yes, it’s Pisces season and that means pleasure and romance season in the Scorpio chart. Right in time for Valentine’s Day!

This February, Mars is among the planets in Pisces. Mars is a physically oriented planet so that means it will want to turn its attention to the physical side of pleasure. You can interpret that any way you like.

There are also a few financial things going on this month. Jupiter in your financial 8th house is in a super good mood with Uranus in your 6th house of jobs which rules your 4th house of real estate and property. One possible interpretation would be making good money from a job that you could use to take out a loan to improve your home or property. The interpretation that applies to you depends on your own circumstances of course, but the bottom line is that there is potential financial action in your sector of home and property.

Saturn in your own sign stations this month on the 18th, and then goes retrograde. To some degree, Saturn goes along with the other influences of the month in that he’ll probably want you to stick close to home and to the tried, true, and familiar. He may also have the financial effect of encouraging you to save for the future.

These are annual influences but they’re a bit stronger than normal this year. Mars is in your home-loving sign of Aquarius all month. And Jupiter is in the book and learning loving sign of Gemini all month, stationing on the 30th. In your solar chart, learning and education and books and all those things are right up your alley as long as you are the one in control, choosing what you will learn and at your own pace. Indeed, it would be appropriate for you to invest a little money in education as the month draws to a close.

Of course I also need to address the influence of Saturn in your sign, still relatively new and still a major factor in your chart. I’ll address this often over the next couple of years, tackling various elements of what it can signify. This month, it’s appropriate to address the effect of Saturn on how your mind works. Saturn in your sign represents a mix of Saturn’s rationality with your own sign’s intuitive nature. Logic and conscious choice and control will vie with the subconscious mental swirlings the sign of Scorpio is naturally comfortable with.

Saturn also represents business, career, work. Your sign represents close relations with other people. So some of you will find yourself more than usually drawn to business transactions or to thinking and behaving in a business-like manner around others. You may experience this business-like approach in both your personal life and in your interactions on the job. You are being nudged to intensify your ability to mix reason and relationships.

For others, it will be about new responsibilities. For example, now that Neptune is in your solar 5th house of children, some of you will be longing for a baby (or a grandchild!). Saturn in your sign would indicate a willingness to accept the responsibilities that go with a child.

As December progresses toward mid-month, it also becomes a good time for getting out of your own head or at the very least balancing your inner perceptions with an awareness of what’s actually going on in the external world. Your chart rewards actions taken on the basis of logic rather than imagination or feeling. Why all the emphasis on reason and facts and stuff like that?

Part of it comes from the emphasis on Capricorn in the skies right now. Capricorn is the sign that Saturn rules. Capricorn really likes logic, reason, common sense, facts, reality and not getting carried away with emotion. This month, the sun, Mars, and Pluto will be in Capricorn.

Capricorn is also Scorpio’s sign of language and learning. The month is good for Scorpios who make a living from words, and it’s good for learning a new skill (like a foreign language!) as long as there’s a good practical reason for using the skill in your work or daily life.

Jupiter is also in the language-loving sign of Gemini, and if learning something language-related can give you an edge toward achieving your goals, your chart will happy to help you master the material to be studied. Gemini is also a detached air sign, and Jupiter in Gemini favors stepping back and looking at the big picture and how it impacts your interests. Again, logic over imagination or feelings.

Another gift that Saturn in your sign brings, besides common sense, is placing a value on quality over quantity. You can apply this to your gift-giving of course, but the general principle applies in all aspects of your life these days. You have planetary permission to pursue the highest standards and the finest quality where ever you desire it.

One more thing. Uranus in Aries stations mid-month. Uranus is in charge of exploring potential job opportunities for you. Something could finally become a bit clearer on this front around mid-December. Whatever educational or learning opportunities you have been pursuing could finally pay off.

Also, Mercury goes retrograde on the 6th and slides back into your sign on the 14th. Venus doesn’t enter Scorpio until the 21st, a bit later than normal. And Saturn just moved into your sign. In short, there’s a lot going on.

One of Saturn’s jobs is to judge, and he’s a rather severe judge, prone to finding fault and piling on the criticism. He tears down before he builds back up. Now that he’s in your sign, you may become very aware of your own self-judgment or of how judgmental toward others you may be. Venus in your sign will soften this tendency in time for Thanksgiving, fortunately.

But Saturn combined with a solar eclipse indicates that you are entering a new era of your life, and, as part of this new era, you will be asked to evaluate your habits, your policies, the ways in which you are on auto-pilot and need to update your settings.

This November in particular, there’s also activity in the skies around your values. Part of that is due to the sun and Mercury, which visit Sagittarius, your sign of values, every year. But this year, Mars is transiting Sagittarius too. Mars can be a bit problematic in any sector; in your house of values, he can indicate problems with possessions or loss or damage of some sort.

This is normally not too big a deal, but a lunar eclipse in your 8th house (the one in Gemini on the 28th) can indicate the same thing. Take care to lock things up, get ready for winter weather, and don’t leave things lying about. Some of you will already have experienced this, as eclipses can show their effects early, and some won’t experience the effects of this eclipse until the end of the year.

Once Mars leaves Sagittarius for Capricorn on the 16th, he’s in a better spot for your chart. In Capricorn, he’s more likely to energize your physical and mental abilities. Here’s he good for increasing your physical strength (helpful if you’re lugging suitcases around for Thanksgiving travel) and sharpening your memory and ability to concentrate on tasks.

Now for a look at your year ahead. Productive Jupiter is in your solar 8th house until late June of 2013. This is a good spot for Jupiter to be in for you financially. It’s good for investments and for all other sorts of non-salary income. From July on, Jupiter will be in Cancer, less interested in tangible yields than in touchy-feely stuff.

Saturn we’ve already mentioned, but we’ll bring him up again because his influence is likely to be important. Saturn doesn’t just judge; Saturn also rewards. More specifically, Saturn is about consequences. He shows you that if your behavior is worthy, it pays off in the long run. If it isn’t, it catches up with you in the long run.

Partly for this reason, having Saturn in your sign is a good time to do things like take up an exercise regime that demands discipline. Saturn likes that and is willing to show you the benefits of regular effort. Saturn also likes truth and dislikes weakness. If you’ve been letting yourself slide with dodgy habits or lying to yourself, Saturn will be more than willing to show you the adverse consequences of not behaving with integrity and strength. Saturn’s influence will alternate with the influence of Uranus in Aries.

Saturn is cold, deliberate, rational. Uranus in Aries is hot, impulsive, and irrational. Expect to veer between the two modes over the next 6 months, and to experience occasional indecision or indifference as you deal with their contradictory effects. As a side note, Uranus is in your job sector these days, and he likes fields like information technology. You may not like IT as much as he does, but you should at least be prepared to deal with it in your work.

Neptune and Chiron will spend the year trying to gradually heal your romantic and creative natures or perhaps your relationship with your children. Eclipses will bring personal and relationship changes until you end up with the right partner. Pluto will continue to travel through Capricorn, that part of your chart I mentioned earlier that relates to your physical and mental abilities. Overall, if there are two key concepts for the Scorpio year ahead they would be: developing strength and facing consequences.

That’s a lot of planets in Scorpio, especially when you haven’t been getting that much planetary attention in recent years. The upshot is that with extra planetary energy at your disposal, you may have an urge to try to do more than is actually possible, simply to try to take advantage. Mercury in a person’s sign often excites this impulse anyway, and now you’ve got Mars and Saturn, and even eclipses in your sign coming up. This adds up to a lot of mental energy and perhaps a desire to do a lot of communicating in one way or another. I say go for it!

It’s also pretty big news for your sign that Libra is finally edging its slow-moving butt out of Libra and into Scorpio. When Saturn moves into your sign, the motto of the next couple of years becomes “try.” Saturn is not like Yoda who says ” do or do not….there is no try.” Saturn recognizes the real possibility of trying and failing, but he thinks you ought to try anyway. Saturn says ‘make the effort.’

In short, pick something to accomplish and try to accomplish it. It doesn’t have to be something earthshaking. You could try to learn how to ski after all these years. The important thing is to keep trying, to not give up until you are thoroughly satisfied that you have explored every possible means of making the effort to master something to your standards. Other examples include getting a more stimulating job (your chart wants more stimulating job tasks), or moving to a livelier neighborhood or bigger city (your chart wants a more challenging environment for you).

Other examples include trying your hand at performing (Neptune in your solar 5th house would like that) or pulling off some business deals (Sagittarius energy this month would like that). Even meeting more people would fit the bill, as long as the goal to be accomplished is a bit scary for you.

Finally, the month has a bit of a religious or prophetic tone to it. At its best, this could make you feel a bit divinely inspired as the month progresses.

That fire sign influence is balanced out by Mars in your own sign. When Mars is in your sign, you may feel a certain urge to spend money, and spend it impulsively. This is often because you spot bargains or items that you’ve been waiting to buy at a good price. People normally enjoy this aspect of Mars, but of course if you are on a tight budget, do make sure that your proposed bargains are really bargains.

Fire and air energies come back into play with the outer planets, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus. When planets are in signs that represent elements on a different wavelength than your own, there are often impulses for change. These are long-lasting influences but when you combine them with Mars in your own sign, the time seems right for action.

For example, you might decide that you want to change your appearance because having a planet in your own sign can represent changes to your outward image. Jupiter in Gemini might also make you want to talk about other kinds of transformation, such as re-doing your lawn or garden. Mars may make you want to actually spend some money on a project like this or hire a consultant. If you are employed, you might want to make drastic changes to your job. If you don’t have a job, you might want to look for one. And so on.

Speaking of jobs, there’s a decent chance, but no guarantee, that there’ll be some movement on this front in September. Uranus in your job sector has been clashing with Pluto off and on for several months. These two planets are still clashing in September. But…Pluto stations and changes direction in mid-September, and sometimes that indicates something’s afoot or that an issue has been resolved. On the other hand, in the interests of full disclosure I must admit that sometimes the square between Uranus and Pluto means that issues will simply continue to drag on unresolved for awhile.

If that’s the case, you can always take refuge in the compatible water sign influence of Neptune in Pisces in your love life house—which is gently and persistently trying to attract people to you and vice versa.

You might as well try to figure out what’s bugging Mars (and by extension, you) so that you can correct it before whatever it is gets out of hand. When Mars moves into your sign, he also heralds something of a new beginning for you. When Mars leaves in early October, Saturn will take his place in Scorpio. In November, you’ll experience the first solar eclipse in your sign in about a decade.

After potentially being stalled for some time, your life is scheduled to start moving again. I won’t say that your life will be completely transformed–but it might be. There are a fair number of indications of transformation over the next 10 months.

On a lighter note, you have a bit of gentle travel energy in August, thanks to Venus in Cancer. If you can’t make an actual trip, maybe an exotic adventure of the mind would do the trick. You could read a history book or delve into a novel or even browse travel sites. You could also research your family history. Just do something pleasant to take your mind away to another realm.

A good time to indulge your inner lazy bones before summer completely goes away would be around the 9th, when Venus and Neptune combine for a trip to fantasyland or maybe just a long, luxurious nap at home.

Now about those potential job irritations I mentioned at the beginning. Pluto and Uranus get increasingly irritated with each other as the month goes on. Uranus is in your job sector and Pluto is in the sector that governs your rational mind. How they will express their displeasure depends of course on your circumstances. A sample manifestation would be that Uranus wants job turnover and instability while Pluto feels threatened by Uranus’s restlessness. Which might mean things like you want to quit because the atmosphere is almost unbearably tense, but Pluto won’t let you because he thinks that would be irrational and imprudent.

There is no easy answer to this kind of dilemma. Do your best to figure out what you can do to deal with the situation and do it. Time will have to take care of the rest. With the help of lots of energy in your career sign this month, you should make out okay if you can figure out how to just hang on.

Mars also moves into Libra on the 3rd. It had been in worrying Virgo for an incredible 8 months, but that will all be put behind you when it enters Libra. Mars in Libra works in league with Mercury in Leo as an adjunct means of getting your message conveyed. Mars in Libra favors actively working the back channels and using behind-the-scenes or discreet methods of getting information to the people you want to receive it.

The combination is a one-two punch and requires a willingness to be simultaneously forceful and charming. Saturn is also in Libra and while it doesn’t exactly give you permission to be sneaky (Saturn has too much integrity for that), it does give you the go-ahead to keep at things until you get the ‘yes’ you are looking for.

Adding to the overwhelming emphasis on communication this month are Venus and Jupiter in Gemini. These two, but especially Venus, emphasize the stylistic aspects of communicating. Venus counsels that it’s not so much what you say as how you say it.

That’s the career portion of the equation. Then there’s the job portion of the equation.

Uranus stations in your solar job sector this month, on the 13th. Uranus has been busy trying to figure out what your current job is trying to become, how it needs to grow and/or change. Uranus has been fighting with Pluto over this issue, and the two decide to step back a bit from their dispute in mid-July. The upshot of this is that job matters may become a bit clearer after the 13th.

The small but significant daylight between Uranus and Pluto also impacts all those communication factors I mentioned before. Pluto is parked in your solar house of communication, where he has been practicing being very intense. He’ll still be intense, but after mid-month he’ll feel less need to stir up conflict or issues. Thank goodness!

Venus also stations in this part of your chart, highlighting the unity theme. This could be unity or merging in a primary romantic relationship, as with a spouse, but it could also be other types of unity or merging.

For example, Venus is a creative planet, so it could be uniting with someone for a creative project. It could mean linking up with a friend who has very different skills from you to produce excellent work.

Gemini is also a sign that represents the critic, so it could be helping someone else’s endeavor by using your critical eye. It could mean sharing ideas with your neighbors to unite the neighborhood in some common project. There are lots of possibilities, see what comes to mind that fits your circumstances.

Meanwhile, Saturn stations in your solar 12th house this month. Your 12th house is the sector that governs that inner voice or your connection with God. If you get some sort of loud intuition or inner calling the week of the 25th, pay attention.

If the loud voice comes from your co-workers or boss though, it’s got nothing to do with Saturn. That’s Uranus in Aries who is completely loud this month because he’s in a shouting match with Pluto. Uranus is in your job and health sector, raring to go for something. Pluto is in your solar 3rd house of ideas. I have no clue what they’re arguing about, but they’re both taking it very seriously this month.

I suppose you or someone you’re close to may have some sort of idea that is preventing you from giving your all to a work or health project and that’s pissing Uranus off.

During the hubbub remember that bit about unity and merging above; your ace in the hole is collaboration and doing things with people, not stubbornly going your own way even if you really really feel like it.

There’s also a lunar eclipse in Sagittarius this month, on the 4th. Eclipses are churning sorts of events. They pull things up from below the surface, toss them upwards and push the stuff that was on the surface back down to a lower level of visibility. In your case, the eclipse affects your solar financial sector; some sort of turnover is going on with regards to money and how you earn or handle it.

For you, the combination of energies could favor things like earning money through mental activities or skills, through speaking or writing, or through using your hands in some graceful manner. Earning money through other forms of creativity or art is another possibility. This is especially true around the time of the new moon (which is an eclipse) on the 20th. The eclipse is in Gemini, a language-oriented sign, so polish up your language skills and put them to good use.

With Venus in your rather hidden 8th house, the phrase ‘dancing with myself’ also comes to mind. During the week that begins with Mother’s Day on the 13th, though, the planets in Taurus line up rather neatly with Mars in Virgo in your friendship house. At that time, it would be more like ‘dancing with a bunch of my friends at a music festival, party, or club in a wanton display of sheer physical pleasure.’ Stuff like that.

Another nice angle occurs near the end of the month on the weekend of Memorial Day. The sun and Mercury in Gemini hook up with Uranus in Aries in your solar 6th house of job and health. Your physical and mental abilities to earn money, get a job, or improve your health are in fine form.

Of course, you may not care about earning money or dancing with your friends, maybe you only care about your love life. Well, yeah, the stars certainly wouldn’t mind if you put a priority on that instead. The indications are certainly there. Whenever there’s a lot of energy in the sign opposite yours (Taurus), there’s a possibility of getting pointed in the direction of love, relationships, or just harmony and unity. This month, the sun’s in Taurus until the 20th and Mercury’s in Taurus until the 24th.
