May is full of alternatives and opposites. There’s a new moon eclipse in Taurus on the 9th opposed by Saturn in Scorpio. There’s a lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on the 25th opposed by many planets in Gemini. There’s also a square between Pluto in Capricorn in your solar 11th house of friendship and Uranus in Aries in your second solar house of finances.

The Pisces solar chart isn’t much interested in work this month, although it appears to be interested in money, as there is an abundance of energy in your financial sign of Aries as the month opens. How you are going to bring in the bucks without much focus on your career or job isn’t clear to me but maybe you will be rewarded this month for efforts you have made previously.

The first half of December carries over a certain intellectual tone from November. Mercury, Venus, and Saturn are in your solar 9th house of global intellectual thinking. You have a combination of factors that indicate both intuition and analysis, an ability to organize the big picture. It is possible you will get some sort of inspiration about your future ambitions or may have within the last couple of months and need to mull it over. More generally, the timing is right to strive for excellence.
The most notable astrological event of the month takes place in your second house of finances and income. Uranus in Aries stations there (gets powerful) at mid-month. Neptune in your own sign continues to crawl forward at a glacial pace. Neptune in Pisces is a super-watery influence and some of you are almost literally drowning in water of some sort. Think about what you need this holiday season, not what you want. Consider what is close at hand and doable until you get your head above water, so to speak. Neptune in your own sign represents something important and potentially difficult at work in your chart and part of the current message is to slow down.
Mars spends most of December in Capricorn, the sign that represents your friendships, groups, combining forces with others and uniting for a cause. Mars can be a disruptive planet, so there may be a sudden switch in direction in a friendship, group endeavor, or the like. This is just a small part of an ongoing campaign by Pluto to thoroughly turn around your attitude toward such matters. Pluto is going to try to get you to look at the particulars of combining forces with others, not just the concepts or ideals of unity and harmony.
December is also Pisces’ annual career month. This year is no exception. Think happy thoughts and take happy actions with regard to your professional life, as things look good.
A lot of action in the skies in November, but not all of it will necessarily affect you directly. The sun, new moon eclipse, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn cluster in the sign of Scorpio this month. But the sign of Scorpio represents your mild-mannered solar 9th house, where ideas go to quietly rest and germinate, preparing themselves for big doings later in your life. You can think of the 9th house as the house of decisions made after careful consideration and judgment. Interestingly, it is also the house of long-distance travel, and you may do some this month, as you have the stars for it.
The 9th house is also the house of higher education. If you are busy pursuing your Bachelor’s degree or involved in a teaching or education-related profession, then these influences may be addressed to you. Essentially, Saturn will give you feedback about how you’re doing, and the eclipse may give you a sense of a new beginning in your educational life. The eclipse itself takes place on the 13th of the month, which represents the peak of the Scorpio energy. The eclipse could also represent turnover in your educational life, such as new teachers coming into your life or meeting new people through education.
The sun itself is in Scorpio until the afternoon of the 21st if you live in the US, which is when Venus enters the sign to remain until mid-December. Before the 21st, Venus hangs out in one of your financial houses, not trying to cause any trouble, and normally problematic Uranus in your other financial house is sliding backward. Uranus in your sector of possessions and income had been fighting with Pluto, but he’s backed off for the moment. This may benefit your ability to earn income or spend it, for that matter. You can buy things with a little less hassle from the universe.
Your ruler Neptune is in major snooze mode for at least the first half of November, and will gradually start to rouse himself a tiny bit mid-month. If you are born at the very beginning of your sign, you may feel a similar sense of snoozing and trying to gradually rouse yourself.
On a less sleepy note, there is some energy in your 10th house of visibility, reputation, and career. Time to pay attention to how you present yourself to the world because it is looking to see how you appear. Be mindful of how you dress and how you speak.
The one potentially negative element of the month comes via a lunar eclipse in Gemini in your sector of home and residence. You have a certain amount of protection in this sector thanks to Gemini, but a lunar eclipse sometimes signals some sort of loss or ending with regard to your residence. People affected by Hurricane Sandy at the end of October have already seen the effects of this eclipse, as eclipses sometimes show their effects a month ahead of or behind schedule.
Planets move into your career sector in October. Mars gets there first. He’ll be in Sagittarius (your career sign) by the 7th. Mercury doesn’t move in until the end of the month (the 29th), but the sun moves in next month, and you’ll have career energy in some form until early January. Fortunately for you, you have a jolly, humorous career sign that loves to laugh and be amused by a subject that other signs take very very seriously.
That’s good because humor is very helpful in the working world, although it must be admitted that Mars in Sagittarius can open his big mouth at times and blurt out excessively honest, blunt, or revealing things. Mars in Sagittarius is balanced out by Jupiter in Gemini, your home and private life sign, so the idea is to give equal attention to both sides of your life.
The highlight of the month, though, is Saturn moving from Libra to Scorpio on the 5th. Scorpio is your sign of long-distance travel. When Saturn activates a sector (as it will for about the next 2 1/2 years), it increases the activity in that area but makes it rugged (mountain-climbing treks!), or it depresses activity in that area of your life. Should be interesting if it increases activity!
Saturn moving out of Libra also could potentially affect your finances. You’ve had Uranus and Saturn in financial sectors recently, and Saturn may have been depressing your ability to capitalize financially on your skills and abilities. You may have more energy for making money in the coming years.
Saturn in Scorpio is more extreme than Saturn in Libra, because Scorpio is a more extreme sign than Libra. During October, Saturn will be making a happy trine with Neptune in your own sign. You may experience more admiration from others this month, as Neptune’s glow around you is illuminated by Saturn’s spotlight.
Saturn in Scorpio may also make Neptune and Chiron in your own sign a bit more willing to look at facts instead of just their own fantasies. You may even find that facts aren’t so bad at all, once you get used to them.
Saturn in Scorpio is also in a more helpful angle with Pluto in Capricorn than he was in Libra. Pluto and Saturn will be in an especially good mood with each other throughout Saturn’s stay in Scorpio (due to something called mutual reception, which essentially means being on the same page with each other). Since Pluto is in your solar sector of friendship and assistance from others, Saturn will be useful in encouraging your colleagues to do as much for you as they can.
Saturn gets a bad rap in astrology, but in Scorpio, you may come to find that you actually really like him and what he can do.
September can be considered sort of an obsessive month. Pluto, Mr. Obsessive himself, is fighting with Uranus in your financial sector. If you manage to break even this month, consider yourself ahead of the game. Neptune in your own sign, never a speedy planet, is slowing to a crawl, and may make you feel like you’re stuck and can’t get your mind to move on. It may be difficult to concentrate or to remember things. The spaciness may be due to Pluto being obsessed with some worthwhile goal, certain you can achieve it, while the other outer planets ditz around with no idea as to how.
Meanwhile, the sun, Mercury, and Saturn will all spend time in your obsessive 8th house this month. They and Mars in obsessive Scorpio could be compulsively trying to gather knowledge or help you make a decision. Everybody on your planetary team seems to be trying real hard, but I’m not entirely sure they’re getting anywhere in September.
In other words, no matter how much you’ve got something in your head, you must give yourself time to get things sorted out and become internally ready before you’ll be operating at full strength. You need to set reasonable limits for yourself and others. This is particularly true if you have some sort of a health issue to deal with.
What you can do this month is relate to other people. The sun and Mercury are in Virgo as September opens, and Virgo is your sign of relating to others. Of course relationships can easily become a subject of obsession, so be careful there too! Try to stay on an even keel, even if your love life takes an exciting turn. (Although sometimes being obsessed with a romantic relationship can be quite pleasant, especially if you’re in love!) If you want to start a new relationship or make a commitment, the best time for doing so is around the time of the new moon in Virgo on the 15th.
If you have a financial matter to wrap up, try to do so around the time of the full moon in your financial sector on the 29th. And try to keep a light touch at work, especially at mid-month. This is the time of year when everyone at work loves you, and you can see potential financial gains from that if you keep a sense of humor when everyone is asking you for this and that.
If you’ve been decorating your living space, keep pushing to get things just the way you want them and figure the pressure to get things right will ease a bit next month. If you’ve been cleaning or rearranging your living space instead–good for you! Again, figure that the intensity of the push will continue through mid-October and then back off.
First of all, your financial sectors are highlighted in August, Pisces. Uranus in Aries has been in a financial house for awhile and will stay there for quite a bit longer. Uranus is supposed to help you, in his erratic fashion, become more aware of the true nature and significance of money. He is challenged this month and next by Pluto in Capricorn. Mars is also challenging your sector of joint finances, introducing some element of competition into your financial dealings with others.
Neptune in your own sign is drifting lazily backward, dreaming of escape and distant shores. One of Neptune’s functions is to undermine. Frequently, when he is in a person’s sign, he undermines their thinking, their willpower, their ability to choose and take action. When under Neptune’s influence one feels impelled to let things happen, as though fate allowed for no freedom of will.
This may be beneficial in many ways in the long run, but probably not when it comes to your financial affairs. In the financial and work arenas, keep your head on your shoulders. In fact, this would be a good month to take the time to learn some new job-related skills to keep yourself current. With a new moon (on the 17th) and Mercury in your job sector, this is not the time to stumble around your workplace, mumbling inarticulately. Communicate clearly and listen closely.
Of course, you may not care all that much about such mundane matters. You also have romantic energy on tap and that may be where Neptune is exerting his greatest influence. Backing up the potentially romantic influence of Neptune this month are Venus in your love sign and the sun moving into your committed relationships sector. I will not blame you if you put relationships first as the month progresses. Still it would be to your benefit to take off any rose-colored glasses you may be wearing and aim for clarity.
You continue to have good vibes on the home front. The first week of the month is ideal for working with those in your household toward completing some project you can all do together. Once you get that project done, you’ll probably just want to nest and enjoy the fruits of your cooperative labors.
