The sun and Mercury start the month in your spiritual 12th house. This is the sector of your saintly side as well as your hidden sins. It is the sector of gullibility, gurus, and Christianity. It is the sector of sacrifice and miracles, of deception and rescue. (more…)

Venus moves into your sign at mid-month, highlighting your ability to create harmonious relationships, one of Libra’s most important talents. Venus here may also increase the amount of attention you receive from others.
What Venus is not so good for is decisiveness. Venus, your sign’s natural ruler, prefers to go with the flow and leave the deciding to others. (more…)
The Libra solar chart has it all going on for the next 12 months. Home, family, relationships, partners, career, reputation. Now that Jupiter is in Cancer for the next year, you have outer planets in the parts of your chart that represent all these things.
Pluto is the planet in your residential sector, although perhaps thankfully he’s not doing too much this month other than getting periodically mildly annoyed that there are so many planets in your career sector in July. (more…)
On the 7th of June, Neptune stations and then turns retrograde in your solar 6th house. What does this mean? It probably means that Neptune wants you to work less or maybe not work at all! Neptune is not the most industrious of planets and he’s really not into that whole nose-to-the-grindstone thing.
Neptune in your solar 6th house also influences how you approach your health and the day-to-day responsibilities of life. In this regard, Neptune’s preferred approach is to be as vague as possible. (more…)
Taurus, Gemini, eclipses, Uranus in Aries, Pluto in Capricorn….the energy of May is quite varied. Let’s see if we can put together some themes from the clash of competing influences.
We’ll start with relationships, the Libra bailiwick. Uranus in Aries and the Taurus energy of the month both relate to relationships and things you do with other people.
The first eclipse of the month is a Taurus one, on the 9th. It indicates that some way, somehow, you will be embarking on something relatively new with someone else. That something new may very well be a financially-related venture designed to help mitigate the financial distress that Saturn in Scorpio is trying to inflict on you. (more…)
The month starts out with lots of energy in Aries, the sign that represents your solar 7th house of marriage and your significant other. This is the time of year when your sun feels a particular hunger for approval from your mate. The beams of approval may or may not come your way as the influences are mixed.
Loving Venus is in Aries as the month starts, but so is cantankerous Mars. Planets here also make your sign particularly susceptible to flattery this month, a switch from Libra’s normal MO, in which Libra cleverly allocates flattery to others in its ongoing attempt to manipulate them into harmony whether they like it or not. (more…)
Signs with outer planets in them continue to bear the load of the month’s energies in March. Specifically, Pisces, which has Neptune in it, and Aries, which has Uranus in it, are the two main sign energies of the month.
The Aries energy represents your solar house of relationships, of combining forces with others, and it works well with Jupiter in your travel sector, especially near month’s end. The energy itself is very volatile, however. Mars and Uranus combine in Aries as spring begins, giving things a very stop-and-start kind of a feel, and issues in relationships may emerge. (more…)
Time for Libra to get out of the house and take advantage of its Libra-ness. All things being equal, Libra is the sign most likely to have a wonderful Valentine’s Day. It’s a romantic holiday for a romantic sign. And, every year planets in Aquarius visit the Libra house of romance and cozy up, ready to receive the Valentine’s Day gifts and outings they deserve. This year, right on schedule, your ruler Venus plops herself in your house of romance, expecting to enjoy whatever the day (and really the whole month) will bring. (more…)
Happy New Year, Libra. January is the time of year when your solar chart gets interested in the private parts of your psyche, your inner life. For the past several years, you have had Pluto at the bottom of your solar chart, the part of your chart that represents what’s far below the surface. Pluto naturally has an affinity with what’s below the surface and is always curious about what’s hidden, what’s subconscious. At his most intense, he sometimes manifests as psychic powers. (more…)
Tis the season for gifts and holidays. Normally, your sign likes to get a jump on holiday activities, but this year it’s moving at a more leisurely pace. It will aim to have its shopping and celebration preparations wrapped up by mid-December instead of before Thanksgiving like it usually does! As usual for this time of year, however, your chart will want to rush about throughout the month, going to and fro, visiting neighbors and relatives and being the social butterfly. Libras not so into the social whirl will be encouraged to turn their attention to educational matters, whatever those might be.
On a more sober note, many Libras will feel a sense of burden or obligation regarding family matters this month. Libra always feels a certain obligation to family, but the underlying tendency is increased this year by the presence of not-particularly-lighthearted Mars and Pluto in serious Capricorn in your home and family sector. Other Libras will feel the energy in a different way; they’ll be doing work on their houses. After Christmas the vibe changes, as Mars moves into inventive Aquarius. You may be less productive, but you’ll probably have more fun.
If you travel, whether short distances or long ones, be sure to go with someone, preferably someone who can carry the suitcases for you! Your chart is just not in a solo mood these days when it comes to getting out of the house. Uranus, the planet of groups, stations in your solar 7th house of other people at mid-month. Around that time, something may act as a catalyst for change in a group you belong to or in relationships with people you are close to.
Your chart is a bit spacy when it comes to your job this month. It simply does not want to work too hard or even think too hard. If you can take it easy on the job front in December, it would probably be a good idea to do so.
Finally, on a broader scale, there are also some trends to look for as we head into 2013. One trend is financial. Your chart is not financially hot for the next couple of years; it’s as cold as a winter’s day. Expect sluggishness and slow developments in financial matters, punctuated with occasional flashes of surprise or sudden movement. The combination of Saturn and eclipses in your financial houses equals something like 5 months of stuck and then two weeks of bursting speed. Prepare accordingly.
Lucky you. Your ruler Venus spends the first 3 weeks of November in your own sign. This is good for your plans, for your peace of mind, and for raising money. It doesn’t even have to be money for yourself; if you are involved in charity or community work, Venus can still help you bring in the bucks. This influence continues throughout the month, because after Venus leaves your sign, it enters your solar second house of…well, raising money.
Money is also the focus of a solar eclipse in Scorpio on the 13th and Saturn, the sun, and Mercury in Scorpio this month. You are entering an approximately 2 1/2 year cycle of emphasis on your abilities to handle and manage money and possessions. What portion of the financial world you will be dealing with will depend greatly on your own circumstances.
Some people will find themselves carrying unusually large financial burdens, perhaps supporting a spouse who is going through a period of reduced earning power. Others will be adhering to a plan to pay off debt or to deal with the consequences of past actions that have impacted their finances. If you have a partner, whether romantic or business, this financial cycle will most likely in some way be tied in with that person.
Other areas that could be impacted include investments or other forms of shared financial matters. You should also expect that although November is good for bringing in money, the greater emphasis over the next couple of years is related to paying it out. This isn’t necessarily bad; it could be a good investment in your future. In some sort of cosmic sense, though, the bills are due.
There’s also a lot activity in November in your solar house of communication and short trips. And there’s a lunar eclipse in your solar house of long distance travel. This doesn’t mean that all Librans will be traveling this month but many will be, especially because many people travel around Thanksgiving, at least in the US. Do be careful when traveling either short or long distances, because rather accident prone Mars will transiting through the travel sign of Sagittarius. For that matter, be careful about what you say too–because Mars can be equally accident prone when it comes to putting his foot in his mouth.
While you’re being careful, you might as well be attentive to hazards around the home, as Mars will enter your home sector on the 16th. If you’re not the traveling type, the emphasis could be on education, teaching, or learning. You may wrap up an education-related project around the time of the eclipse on the 28th.
Happy Birthday, Libra. The sun is in your sign until the 22nd, so this is traditionally the time of year when you get a lot of attention. Jump on the party bandwagon as soon as you can, as the first couple of days of the month are the best for frivolity of all sorts.
From the 7th onward, there’s less of a party mood and more of a learning-intensive or study-mode mood. If you’re in a school of any sort, you’ll feel this most intensely. Whatever your circumstances, though, there’s an energy that favors picking up new skills or gaining knowledge. This doesn’t necessarily have to be academic; you could be learning a new sport.
Alternatively, the shoe may be on the other foot, and you could be the one teaching skills or instructing others. This set of energies lasts into next month, and if you are in teaching mode, you are likely to be quite gratified by the results in November. If neither of these options seems likely, well then, maybe you’ll be doing some public speaking this month or next.
The impetus for all this comes mostly from Mars moving into Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the sign in your chart that relates to learning, teaching, writing, and short trips. You could call it a sign of intangibles and communication, and it harmonizes well with your sign. Toward the end of the month, Mercury enters Sagittarius as well, and Venus enters your sign. That combination indicates you could get some good feedback from others on your communication skills.
The other big news of the month is that Saturn will be leaving your sign on the 5th. Saturn puts a lot of pressure on your decision-making processes. He tries to force you to consciously look at alternatives, and why you choose one over another. Since Libras tend to obsess over decisions anyway, a 2 1/2 year bout of Saturn can be quite trying.
When Saturn travels from Libra into Scorpio, you are likely to feel a bit of freedom in the air. You won’t be so tied down. You can pick up and move more freely. You’ll have more wiggle room.
Now for your year ahead. Libras continue to be affected more than most signs by the movement of the outer planets Uranus and Pluto. Those born in late September and early October are most affected, with those born during the first few days of October seeing a lot of action.
You could think of Pluto these days as representing a certain drive for organization and orderly procedure. Pluto in Capricorn likes to plan and worries about the future.
Uranus on the other hand, intensely dislikes the orderly way of doing things as an unnecessary waste of time when one could just cut to the chase and get things done quickly and without excess worry. Uranus thinks that order is neither desirable nor possible in a rapidly changing world with real challenges that require dynamic responses.
The upshot is that sometimes Libras will need to be organized and orderly, and at others times the attempt to plan and keep things moving along according to the program will be useless and not all that helpful. Forget about organization in December 2012. In fact, you can write off the entire holiday season and its aftermath. Just deal with things as they come up. Don’t plan on an organized summer of 2013 either.
The need for organization will be most prominent in your home, family, or domestic life. April 2013 looks fairly intense along those lines. I wouldn’t plan on traveling during spring of 2013 (unless it’s for family reasons), as you may well be needed on the home front.
At the office, the influence of Neptune predominates. Neptune has gift for seeing things it can’t explain. As a result, it is not the greatest communicator in the planetary pantheon.
With taciturn Saturn in taciturn Scorpio in your income sector and quiet Neptune in your job sector, the coming year might be one in which to keep your own counsel while others blab on about their various views. If it frustrates you to keep your mouth shut for the time being, remember that these two planets can be very cagey and strategic. While you are tapping your feet and biding your time, they are waiting for the perfect opening to scoot you into a better position, no muss, no fuss. Better to be quiet and attentive than to rush in before you know what’s really going on at work.
As for romance and your love life–it’s a complete wild card due to disorganized Uranus in your relationships sector. I’m not even going to venture to guess. If you can restrain your natural impulse to plan other people’s lives, though, you could end up having a lot of fun.
The month starts with Venus in your career sign for the first week. This kind of influence often signals a time when everyone in your professional world seems to need you. The good side of this is that they feel like they need you because they like and respect you. After the first week, Venus turns her attention to more recreational matters, and the career vibe fades. If you’re lucky, and of a mind to travel, you may be able to sneak in some travel for fun around the time the sun enters your sign on the 22nd.
September also has a distinctly sensual vibe going for it. Mars will be in your solar second house all month, and the second house, among other things, rules sensual pleasures such as eating, drinking–and pleasures of a more intimate variety as well. Scorpio, the sign on the cusp of your solar second house, also rules secrets, so you may find yourself being expected to keep some. Not saying it will be easy to do so if this situation occurs, because Mars is often an impulsive blabbermouth. Give some thought to accepting any information on the down-low this month, as you may not want to keep it to yourself.
Despite the social and sensual sides of the month, it may have a bit of a melancholy tone to it as well. Part of that may from pre-birthday blues, while the sun is in Virgo before it enters your sign. And part of it may come because Saturn is getting ready to leave your sign. You wouldn’t think anyone would be sad to see Saturn go, and most people aren’t. But Saturn is the planet of feeling lonely in a crowd, and you may feel a bit of recognition of how alone you’ve felt during the last couple of years or so as Saturn has traversed your sign.
Saturn leaves Libra for good in early October and you may actually feel a lightening of your load next month. It is also possible that you will see a turn for the better in a family situation. Pluto, parked in the part of your chart that rules family matters, stations this month and turns direct. Sometimes this sort of a shift in direction brings information to light that you hadn’t been aware of before. You may learn something that a family member had considered too sensitive to reveal, and that knowledge may give you a lot more understanding of where that person is coming from and why they have been behaving as they have.
Last and probably least, the first three weeks of the month are Virgo dominated. Virgo is a very particular sign. Dot your i’s, cross your t’s and all that jazz.
Well, I’ll start by mentioning that August has a bit of tactful career energy for Libra. Your ruler Venus is in your career sign Cancer from the 7th through the first few days of September. This is a nurturing energy that avoids criticism (including self-criticism!) and rewards gentle encouragement. Neptune in Pisces remains in your job sector and wholeheartedly supports the gentle approach.
This is a bit at odds with Mars in your own sign, which is a far more critical and aggressive influence than normal for you. Mars has a tendency to feel that the application of force or manipulation is more effective than letting things unfold. I say go with Neptune and Venus, at least on the job. Let things be, rather than trying to make them be.
Mars will leave your sign on the 23rd and move into Scorpio, where he’ll start finding fault with your finances. This presages the movement of Saturn into Scorpio in October. In Scorpio, Saturn will thankfully stop taking you to task, but he will start taking your money situation to task. Try to look at your financial situation rationally and don’t freak out if your expenses are higher than usual. Look instead for prudent, thoughtful ways to cut back as necessary.
On a happier note, Jupiter is still in Gemini, cheerfully zipping along and trying to buoy your spirits. Jupiter in Gemini in your chart likes both travel and language. This of course puts me in mind of things like a trip to Paris to brush up on your French! I’m not saying you’ll take such a trip in August, just that it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to scheme and plot your way toward a dream vacation before the end of June of next year. We’ve all got to have something wonderful to look forward to.
Things do potentially get a bit tense toward the end of the month, as Pluto and Uranus move toward another showdown. You may find that you need to make a choice between difficult alternatives that involve your family and your significant other. Not your favorite thing I will admit. If you were born in early October, it may feel as though Pluto and Uranus are taking direct aim at you. This is a difficult time, but it will pass and you will get through it and come out the other side much stronger than you can imagine now.
