Neptune in your sign isn’t doing a whole lot in July except drifting gently backwards but he’s still worth mentioning. That’s because this is a Leo intensive month and Leo specializes in something neither your sign nor your ruler Neptune intuitively understand: ego. Neptune tries to dissolve ego as though it was something irrelevant to a meaningful life.
It’s not. Ego is about the understanding that what other people think of you is important because it helps you fit in, survive, and show concern for the feelings of others. Leo wants people to like him because wanting someone to like you is one of the most flattering and charming gifts you can give another. It’s not about hogging attention or putting other people down.
Ego is about giving attention with the understanding that the other party will naturally feel good about giving it back. People like to give and sometimes your ruler forgets that. It thinks they don’t want to but they should. It tries to control people through manipulating the giving process. This month you have a prime opportunity to do an end-run around slumbering Neptune and show off your happy giving and receiving ego and enjoy the fact that you have one.
First, try out your new ego attitude on friends and groups, then branch out to co-workers and so on. Then show off your smoking hot bod at the gym. If you don’t have a smoking hot bod, understand that ego is a perfectly wonderful reason to get started on developing one. The whole month is tailor-made for this focus on the good points of yourself and the happy sharing of them.
On a more mundane level, Leo is the sign that represents the job sector in your solar chart. Even if you can’t bear the thought of showing off your ego, you still need to make sure you attend to your job tasks and business deals. Mercury goes retrograde in Leo on the 14th, so there may be a bit of churn on the job around that time.
On a more romantic level, your annual love life new moon occurs this month on the 18th. If your love life needs a little attention, give it some!
