Happy Birthday, Pisces! In many ways, this is a good month for your sign. Venus and Jupiter meet up in Taurus in your solar third house and make happy trines to Mars and Pluto the week of the 12th. The solar third house is a light and breezy house, not associated with deep emotions. The trines make it easier to resolve any issues you may have with your relationships, whether with lovers, friends, or just the people you deal with everyday. (more…)

March is traditionally Pisces month, at least until the sun moves into your sign to mark the beginning of spring. Pisces is the sign designated to care about those less fortunate, about cosmic connections, about spiritual compassion, and a lot of do-gooder-y feelings if not always actions. It represents your solar 12th house, which means its effects are supposed to take place behind the scenes. In other words, you’re not ‘supposed’ to lead with your do-gooder-y feelings but they’ll be trying to nudge you just the same. This year in March we have Mercury spending a single day in Pisces before escaping into your sign, only to start sliding back (retrograding) on the 12th until it slides all the way back into Pisces on the 23rd and stays there for the rest of the month. (more…)
This is the time of year when traditionally the focus of the inner planets is on your 11th and 12th houses. The 11th house deals with friendship and relating to others in a friendly way, as with colleagues and acquaintances. Your friendship sign is the creative and spiritual sign of Pisces. This year, in addition to the sun in Pisces until the 20th, we have Mercury retrograding in the sign plus the super-creative Neptune and healing Chiron. Creative communication and thought with a healing purpose seem to be the order of the day, especially as you relate to others on a casual basis. (more…)
Your ruler Mercury retrogrades this month, which gives it more time to focus on an area of great interest and activity in your solar chart, your 10th house. The 10th house is related to career (as opposed to survival jobs), ambitions, and one’s parents. Your ruler Mercury favors intellectual activities and interests, so this month we have a blending of intellectual and career concerns. Normally, Mercury would just zip through your solar career sign, Pisces, and be on its merry way. This year, however, it spends but a single day at the beginning of the month in Pisces.
Then it moves into Aries, ahead of schedule, realizes its mistake, and turns around on the 12th to head back toward Pisces. (more…)
Well, let’s see what’s going on this month, Cancer. Mars has been retrograding in your solar third house of the mind and mental activities. This is not a particularly stable influence, but in March, Jupiter, Venus and Pluto come riding in to the rescue. They form a very nice grand trine with Mars the week of the 12th, indicating that other people (friends, mates, etc.) can smooth things out if you’ve been carting around worries or other forms of mental distress lately. (more…)
There’s a lot of emphasis on thoughts, ideas, and opinions in your chart this month. We’ve got Saturn holding down the fort in your solar 3rd house of thinking. Saturn here strongly suggests that you evaluate your ideas these days based on cold, hard rationality rather feelings or intuition. Uranus, the sun, Mercury and Venus in your solar 9th house of opinions believe that you should go with your first instincts, your impulses or whatever suddenly occurs to you. Meanwhile, Mercury goes retrograde this month in Aries, on the 13th, and moves back into Pisces on the 23rd. This influence tends to mush up emotions and thoughts in a big jumble of indecisiveness.
You can follow your own preferences in sorting out all these mixed influences, but I’ll give you a hint. (more…)
This month your ruler Mercury moves into Aries on the morning of the 2nd, and then starts retrograding in that sign on the 12th. By the 23rd, it has moved back into Pisces, where it remains for the rest of the month. As you probably know, Mercury rules information, communication, facts, and learning. When Mercury goes retrograde, it is theoretically a good time to stop collecting new facts and start organizing the information you have already collected.
Facts about what? (more…)
This month planets continue to stack up in your solar 6th house, represented by the sign of Pisces. The 6th most notably refers to one’s job, but it also refers to volunteer and community activities and one’s health. In March, the sun starts the month in Pisces, and enters Aries at the start of spring on the 20th. Mercury darts into Aries, but changes it mind about things on the 12th and begins retrograding in that sign. It scoots back into Pisces on the 23rd and stays there until the 16th of next month. For the time being, your world revolves around 6th house matters. (more…)
I’ve mentioned before that Pluto in Capricorn is transiting through your solar 3rd house of intellectual pursuits. Pluto wants you to pay attention to your thoughts rather than just your feelings. More precisely, Pluto would like you to understand that your thoughts create your feelings and that you can control your thoughts. I mention this because Pluto is your ruler and he’s moving real slow these days, trying to get your attention. He’ll come to a dead stop next month and then he’ll gear up for a mighty battle with Uranus in Aries in June. (more…)
In March, the earth signs are finally getting the grand trine they’ve been working toward. Venus enters Taurus, hooks up with Jupiter and makes happy aspects to Mars and Pluto the week of the 12th. Taurus is your solar sign of job, service, health, and daily tasks. Pluto’s in your income house, as I’ve mentioned before, and Mars is in your career house. (more…)
Pisces energy gets all up in your face in March. The sun opens the month in the sign, and Neptune and Chiron have settled in and made themselves at home there. Mercury goes retrograde in Aries at mid-month and slides all the way back into Pisces on the 23rd, where he stays until April 16. Add it all up and it’s a lot of Pisces influence. The Mercury retro phenomenon mushes up emotion and communication until you know neither what you’re feeling nor what you’re saying.
This makes March not such a great month for talking, but a pretty decent month for listening and pausing. (more…)
March sees a big emphasis in your chart on the matters of daily living. The sun, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus all spend time in Aries this month, and Aries is the sign in your solar chart that relates to the busyness of modern life. With your ruler Uranus in this sector for years to come, it’d be a good idea for you to get used to the need to respond immediately to problems that appear in your daily life and to deal as rationally as possible with the stresses that come with them. Do what you need to do to deal with things as they crop up. This is particularly true after the sun moves into Aries on the 20th. The new moon in Aries takes place on the 22nd, and is good for setting an action-oriented intention. (more…)
Happy Birthday Aquarius. The sun starts out the month in your sign, as it always does in February. Time for a big birthday celebration. On the 7th, there’s the annual full moon in the sector that governs your relationship with your significant other; you may learn something about him or her around this time.
The sun moves into Pisces on the 19th and the annual full moon in this sign takes place on the 21st. Pisces represents your financial sector and also your possessions. (more…)
The month opens in Aquarius mode, with the sun and Mercury in this sign. Mercury in this position suggests that what you learn this month will be about people and not things, or at least that it would be in your interests to focus your fact gathering on the people you know and need to know.
The last third of the month, in contrast, is strongly Piscean. There’s a bit of a battle between your ruler Mars, which is hanging out in Virgo for as long as it possibly can, and the sun, new moon, Mercury, Venus, and Neptune, all of which spend some time in Pisces. Virgo loves processes, doing things step by step. (more…)
