November sees a new moon eclipse in Sagittarius on the 25th and next month sees a full moon eclipse in the opposite sign of Gemini. Eclipses don’t always show their effects at the time they occur, so you may have already felt effects from the Sagittarius eclipse and you may feel effects from the Gemini eclipse this month, especially around the time of the full moon in Taurus on the 10th. Or you may not feel any effects until next month or even beyond. If you feel effects around the time of the full moon this month, there’s a decent bet that they will in some way relate to your sex life, as that’s an area under planetary scrutiny in your chart this year and next. It’s a full moon, so it may be emotional or there may be some obstacle to overcome.
The new moon eclipse is more concerned with the stars’ worries about your financial future. They’re thinking about the long haul here, and they’d like to get you on a new program of financial fitness by the end of the year if possible. The eclipse is accompanied by a whole mess of planets in your financial sector this month (sun, Mercury, Venus), so the universe is throwing its weight behind this issue. Your job this month is to figure out what, if anything, is the matter with your finances that could benefit from this energy.
Venus, a money planet on its own, will only be in your financial sector until the 26th of the month. The sun will be in this sector from the 22nd through the 21st of December. But Mercury will go retrograde in Sagittarius this month, which means he’ll be in this area of your chart for a long time–from the 2nd of November into January of 2012. You’ll have plenty of time to clean up your financial act.
All that’s needed may be an attitude adjustment or a more positive outlook. A new moon eclipse is often about getting an insight, about clearly seeing the relationship between the parts and the whole, understanding how your thoughts, actions, and emotions fit together. Sometimes an eclipse in the second house is more about your clarifying your values or philosophy than anything else. With Mercury in this sector for so long, it may be about adjusting how you talk about money or what rules you believe about the subject that could be adjusted. More rarely, this type of eclipse can signal a major event, such as buying a house, getting a windfall or raise, or developing a new source of income.
Of course, the sun is also in your sign until the 22nd. When the sun is in your sign, it’s a good time to call the doctor and schedule your annual doctor stuff – like pap smears, mammograms, physicals, whatever it might be. It’s easy to remember to do this around your birthday and it’s astrologically appropriate too! Your annual new moon for setting a personal intention is October 26 this year.
Now on to your year ahead. On the 10th, Mars moves out of Leo, where he’s been concentrating on your career desires, and into Virgo, your solar house of friendship. Mars will be here all the way until July 2012. The most straightforward interpretation would be that you’ll be putting a lot of your energy into your relationship with someone–a friend, best friend or partner perhaps. This energy is aided by Jupiter in your solar 7th house of relationships.
In June, Jupiter will move on to your 8th house of sexuality and rebirth, to carry through the theme that I mentioned at the beginning of the forecast. Meanwhile, Saturn will stay hidden in your solar 12th house, gestating, until October 2012 when he’ll emerge into your own sign. Uranus will continue fitfully trying to get you a new job or shake up the one you already have. Neptune will move on from your home and family sector next February.
When Neptune moves into Pisces in February, he’ll reprise the energy of April through July of this year, so you can get an idea of how he’ll affect in 2012 by recalling that time period. Likely targets of his influence include your love life and having children, if that’s something you desire. Finally, Pluto will continue to dig around in your solar house of communication, trying to find out if there’s anything the matter with how you express yourself. If there is, he’ll try to convince you to fix it!
